Job Description

An emerging division of a global Japanese company is seeking a HR Advisor to join its expanding team in Kings Norton. As the first Advisor for this site which was acquired in 2020, you will be integral to the HR process and function.The business which supports the automotive manufacturing industry has grown from 4 – 60 staff in just 3 years, the expectation is that the head count will grow by another 20 employees in the next 12 months.Along with a salary of up to £36,000 per annum, you will also receive a pension scheme (5% Employee/3% Employer), and 24 days holiday plus bank holidays with 1 additional day per each 3 years of service.As a HR Advisor, your duties will include:

  • Reporting to the General Manager
  • Overseeing the attraction and recruitment of temporary and permanent staff
  • Training and advising managers on strategies for recruitment, selection, and interview evaluation procedures.
  • Managing time and attendance and pay roll software (Sage)
  • Producing all administrative documentation including pay increases, promotions, changes to hours, and any other Ts and Cs admin (also holding consultations where relevant)
  • Updating HR policies in line with current legislation and informing staff about changes.
To be a successful HR Advisor, you will have the following skills and experiences:
  • A qualification in human resources, business administration, employment law or a related field
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people at different levels, including senior staff members.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Working knowledge of HR systems and software.
