Job Description

This HR Advisor role is joining the team of an established automotive business based in WestBromwich. The company has approx. 100 employees and manufactures high quality, lightweight andoptimised forge alloy wheels.Reporting to the CEO, as HR Advisor you will:

  • Build relationships with Senior Managers within the business to support on all HR matters,introducing new ideas and helping implement them within the company.
  • Work closely with the business managers to understand the needs of the business andensure that people management policy evolves as required.
  • Lead on all employee relation cases including disciplinary, grievances, performance andabsence management.
  • Maintain and manage employee records.
  • Manage and develop remuneration and reward schemes.
  • Lead and continue to support with the implementation of the companys appraisal process.
  • Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure accurate monthly employee payroll runs.
  • Support the management team with the businesses end to end recruitment cycle andonboarding process as well as pioneering talent attraction and retention strategies for thebusiness.
  • Support managers with the companies L&D programs ensuring high quality staff training and development.
  • Promote a positive and supported working culture that encourages long term careers withinthe business.
We are keen to speak to people about this HR Advisor role with the following skills and experience:
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent would be advantageous.
  • Up to date knowledge of employment law and HR best practice is essential.
  • Experience of working in a Manufacturing business would be advantageous.
  • A demonstrable record of success in previous roles.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to quickly fit into the team and with the stature to quicklycommand the confidence and respect of colleagues.
  • Passion and commitment with high personal integrity and a practical, pragmatic andhardworking presence with the flexibility and mobility required for the role.
  • An ability to understand the importance of confidentiality.
  • To hold a strong visibility across the business, building relationships.
  • Strong generalist background with a focus on Employee Relations
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office and Excel.
