Exciting new opportunity for a Night Class 1 HGV / CAT C+E drivers for new hub opening in Birmingham, This is a TEMPORARY – PERMENANT POSITION once you have completed a probation period through Jark. If you have recently passed your test and had licence for at least 6mths with some commercial driving of a class 1, you will be considered for this position.You will be delivering to appx 2-4 stores per night with goods being loaded on cages on an ambient box trailer, you will be required to operate a tail lift to unload goods. Minimum 8hrs paid per shift. All drivers will be required to attend an assessment on a day shift this will include induction on paper work and assessment of coupling and un-coupling of trailers. Once this is completed you are able to start immediately after.Various shift patterns to include a weekend may be required so flexibility is a must as shift nights may change from week to week.Rates of pay are PAYE £13.75 Shift start time is 23.45hrs (Nights)You will be responsible for ensuring that all company vehicles are driven safely, professionally and within the law at all times. A safety first approach and compliance with current Health & Safety legislation and company specific health, safety and environmental policies and procedures is essential. The desired candidates will have:- LGV- HGV Class 1 ( C+E licence ) - Digital Tachograph Card. - Full Valid CPC Card. - Good Attitude and Communication. - Flexible approach to types of work.Minimum 6mths to 1year driving Class 1. - Maximum 6 points for insurance purposes.
