Role: Health and Safety Administrator Location: Birmingham£Competitive + Company BenefitsHours: Monday to Friday, 8am until 4:30pm with an early finish on Fridays!Our client, a leading international manufacturer, is currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Administrator to join their Birmingham team on a permanent basis. As the Health and Safety Administrator, you will assist the Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager with the running of the SHEQ department. You will assist in Health, Safety, and Environmental meetings, providing compliance advice as per the sites accreditation. Duties include:- Record off-site waste transfers, and verify the information to ensure transfer is correctly described and meets duty of care.- Record operational environmental data as necessary for internal compliance and permit obligations, and interpret trends.- Submit data to the group and CPI for safety and sustainability indicators.- Liaise with and supervise external parties and contractors as required- Prepare internal and external reports. - Monitor FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) compliance. - Prepare a presentation and attend Departmental Health and Safety Meetings. - Organise/deliver training as requested.- Carry out internal and support external audits and inspections as requested. - Update electronic and other notice boards monthly. - Maintain and develop safety campaigns.- Update Intelex and the IMS (Integrated Management Systems) documents as necessary. - Partaking in accident/incident investigation.- Assist in developing Health, Safety, and Environmental representatives.- Identify ways to improve site Health, Safety, and Environmental performance.- Respond to queries and provide advice for SHEQ matters.- Assist with the creation, development, and trial of policies, procedures, guidance, and assessments. What we are looking for:- Higher level qualification in Engineering/Environmental Management/Health and Safety- Previous experience within a compliance-heavy or health and safety environment would be desirable but not essential.- Exposure to ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 50001 accreditation is desirable but not essential. - Excellent IT Skills, specifically with MS Office.- Experience using SAP is desirable.- IOSH / NEBOSH Certifications are desirable.At KHR we take care to ensure that you are represented as well as possible so it is worth checking your CV for layout, spelling and grammar as well as making sure it is up to date before you submit.
