Job Description

HEAD OF TECHNICALAn exceptional position has become available for a Head of Technical within a medium sized manufacturing organisation in the Birmingham area. This is a unique production environment.This is a highly responsible role, and you will be instrumental in improving and leading the technical engineering aspects within the business.Their products are synonymous for outstanding quality, and they have no wish to dilute their brand to expand their business.As Head of Technical, you will be responsible for the Toolroom, manufacturing, production, and new product introduction.There could be no better time to join this organisation, as they are on the cusp of change, and their business is booming!This is commutable from Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Telford, Solihull, Coventry, Tamworth, Lichfield, Cannock, Dudley, Halesowen, Redditch, and WorcesterBenefits of Head of Technical

Duties of Head of Production
  • Oversee all aspects of Manufacturing, Production, Toolroom and New Product Development
  • Trouble shooting with all technical problems
  • Project management of new product development
  • Ensure new products are delivered to launch on time
  • Management of the New Product Development team
  • Provide leadership for all technical problems
  • Coordination of development activity and implementation of new processes
  • Working closely with the other Head and Mangers, including Production and Marketing teams
  • Drive continuous improvements
Requirements of Head of Technical
  • Significant experience gained at a Senior level
  • You will have gained your experience from within a machining and manufacturing environment
  • Project management experience
  • To be able to demonstrate a keen eye for technical and quality engineering solutions
  • To exhibit an understanding of development lifecycles and change management
  • Good knowledge of CAD software
  • This role would suit a lively, energetic, highly motivated Senior Manager, who is also pragmatic, robust, and driven.
