Job Description

Location: B12 9QHJob Type: Full time, Permanent/CoreSalary: £34,663 per annumHours: 37.5 hours per weekPrincipal Purpose of Post:The role of Head of Learning and Participation is to plan, manage and lead on the extensive courses and classes programme at MAC and related special projects aligned to the digital work for children and young people. Responsibilities:• Manage diverse team and workshop schedules• Ensure effective financial management and evaluation of programs• Lead production of events and showcases• Strategically develop policies for relevance and innovation• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)• Direct line management and strategic recruitment• Liaise with internal teams for program effectivenessKey ResponsibilitiesStrategy:• Identify and maximize resources and partnerships for program impact• Collaborate on managing MACs various arts studiosManagement and Administration:• Ensure contractual requirements are met and payroll checks are done• Lead recruitment for the departmentFinance and Development:• Strategically manage budgets and seek additional support for creative programsCommunications:• Handle queries, lead marketing, and develop relationships for future programsGeneral:• Implement MACs Environmental Policy for sustainability• Stay updated on educational trends and contribute to staff training• Support recruitment, induction, and development of staff• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by the CEO and Artistic Director• Equal Opportunities & DiversityAll staff are expected to further, promote, and ensure the implementation of, the equal opportunities policies of MAC.This job description outlines the principal responsibilities and duties of the post holder.
