Job Description

Euro Packaging are an award winning manufacturer of sustainable packaging, supporting 17 of the UKs biggest retailers. As we continue to grow year on year, we are now looking to add further talent to our teams.Based from our global headquarters in Birmingham, this role will lead the complete IT function for Euro Packaging on a global basis. The key areas of focus for this role is to manage the group’s IT infrastructure, lead our SAP upgrade and other strategicIT related projects whilst supportoing our evolving approach to digital transformation.As a hands on Head of IT, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the group’s IT infrastructure, supported by a team of IT professionals. The role will also lead our SAP upgrade to S4 Hana and be able to migrate other legacy systemsinto SAP. This person will have strong IT project management experience with an emphasis on delivery.The Head of IT will also work with our external stakeholders regarding digital and ecommerce projects to deliver new systems and services to support our overall business objectives.The role would suit a strong all rounder and creative IT professional who can be both hands on and strategic. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in ecommerce and digital transformation where you can lead a complete IT functionand deliver strategic projects.What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT Manager or a similar role, preferably in a medium to large-sized organization
  • Strong technical background and hands-on experience with managing Microsoft 365 workloads, hardware assets, printers, telephony systems, Quick Base, and SAP.
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, networking concepts, and security best practices.
  • Proficient in managing IT subscriptions, licenses, and contracts.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft 365, SAP, or project management certifications are a plus.
  • MCSE or relevant certifications a plus
  • Experience of establishing long term win-win working relationships with partners & providers, building relationships with external technology subject-matter experts to maintain a holistic knowledge of technology trends and developments.
  • Has experience of technology in a senior management role.
  • Senior stakeholder management at Board level
  • Experience of multimillion programme delivery
  • Experience of running innovation labs or similar
  • Good understanding of the IT market and future trends
  • Has experience of introducing change in organisations.
  • Team player able to deal with ambiguity and overlapping priorities.
  • Worked in a fast-paced environment were delivering to tight deadlines is critical.
