We are supporting a national design and build SME during a period of exciting growth to appoint its first Head of Finance.Currently the company has established a convivial family friendly culture thanks to it being a family owned business.However 2019/20 saw the business attract its highest value contracts to date and the company want to capitalise on these big ticket projects - preparing their people, operations and infrastructure for continued domestic growth.As the first ever Head of Finance, this role presents the right candidate with a blank slate with which to identify opportunities and construct a high performance team - fit for purpose.Working alongside the business owners in a No.1 role you will be expected to provide top-down transformation of the budgeting, cashflow and strategic planning for the business; building strong relationships with the sales and account management colleagues.Ideally, you will:• Provide robust financial planning and strategic guidance to various operational colleagues; within procurement and commercial account management.• Provide 1st class financial accounting coaching and recruitment to the current and future accounting colleagues.• Take ownership of the business communication strategy between finance and operations to ensure an efficient, accurate and collaborative financial reporting procedure - refining financial health.• Identify needs for business change and drive continuous improvement regarding; Finance Systems, contract negotiations, Audit, Tax, Treasury management, cash flow reporting and Year End processesIn Return, you will:• Have the opportunity to build a business with a positive and positive foundation• Be able to be a go-to business consultant within finance and commercial operations• Have the support of an exceptionally open and friendly family directorship Required skills
