Job Description

Do you have Head of Engineering experience, and are you seeking a new job in Birmingham Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a food manufacturing company find a Head of Engineering, and the role comes with a salary of £70,000 to £85,000 pr annum.As Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for the management and leadership of the engineering functions of the business to effectively deliver against the business KPIs and strategy. This ensures long-term sustainability and supports growth by providingexcellent operational execution of the companys strategic plan.If you were already in this Head of Engineering role, here are some areas you might have been working in this week:

  • Implementation and management of TPM requirements and scheduling
  • Improving and enhancing changeover function through SMED implementation
  • Coordinating with production functions to ensure line changes and scheduling are in line with requirements to meet orders and safety stock build
  • Overseeing the management of the Changeover operations of the business, ensuring the functions are running effectively and efficiently
To apply for this Head of Engineering role, you will need an engineering degree or equivalent and experience managing complex manufacturing assets within food environments. You will also require:
  • Knowledge and implementation of risk management strategies and processes
  • Understanding delivery methods and methodologies; TPM; LEED; and Six Sigma
  • Experience in managing and improving measurements such as OEE
  • Proven record of asset improvement through multi-tasking within a busy environment
  • Experience in managing multiple projects along with day-to-day responsibilities
