Job Description

Graduate Teaching Assistant | Birmingham, B37 | £85 - £105 Per Day | February 2024 | Term Time Only | Permanent OpportunityAre you a graduate with a passion for education Are you hoping to gain more classroom-based experience before pursuing a career in education LTF Recruitment are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work in a secondary school located in the Birmingham B37 area. This role will require the successful candidate to collaborate with teachers in facilitating support for learners within the classroom.This involves working closely with individual students or small groups under the guidance of teaching staff.

  • Under the direction of teaching staff, support individual and small groups of students within the classroom
  • Assistant teaching staff with planning and delivering support for students, working together to ensure that the best support is provided
  • Encourage positive behavioural outcomes for all students, supporting with behaviour management within the classroom
  • Reinforce learning concepts for students requiring additional support
  • Liaise with teaching staff regularly, providing feedback and ideas for next steps in regards to student progress
Person Specification:
  • Recent graduate with a subject specific degree
  • Dedicated individual with a passion for education
  • Confident communicator, able to communicate with students and teaching staff effectively
  • Knowledge and experience of special educational needs and support in education
  • A valid DBS certificate and two references are a requirement for this role
