Job Description

Are you excited by the opportunity to support a rapidly growing business on their Data Analytics journeyAre you ready to apply your analytical skills and jumpstart your career in Business IntelligenceThe role paves the way for early year analytical talent to go far, fast withaccelerated career advancement and comprehensive career opportunities.Looking to speak t recent graduate talent from either (either 2020 or 2012 finalists) from STEM or Computer Science backgrounds passionate about developing skills with business intelligence and data structure design.The position will be varied, but developing SQL based architecture will underpin the dynamic of the role. Suitable candidates will need to demonstrate advanced numerical capability and show a detailed understanding of relevant coding applications (Ideally SQL but other relevant programming using R or Python would be welcome).The business culture is driven although employee welfare and professional development is a constant focus within the FTSE 500 plc.Selection or responsibilities

  • Work with business stakeholders to understand complex data & reporting needs, translating requirements into technical solutions
  • Partner with internal clients using a consultative approach to understand business problems, identifying the teams key challenges, provide/prototype solutions, and help solve using statistical analysis and tools
  • Develop and enhance existing Data Warehouse structure vis SQL code development and implementation of ETL processes.
  • Develop SQL solutions to integrate data from various sources, including web analytics tools and internal databases to support development of a single source data architecture
  • Support wider departmental data project (visualization / reporting / insight) converting data-based findings and insights into hypotheses to support business planning within the team

  • Recently completed or currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in an analytical field such as: Computer Science, Marketing Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Economics, Business
  • Demonstrated experience solving problems with data querying using SQL, statistics and modelling via detailed and academic studies but ideally via projects or prior work experience (internship or industrial placement)
  • Excellent analytical skills, self-motivation and the capacity to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Technical competence and high potential: passionate about developing code to support database design & architecture
  • Skills in data migration or ETL are a bonus and R, Python & Power BI are a bonus for data transformation, analysis and visualization
