Job Description

Title: Commercial Insights AnalystLocation: BirminghamType: PermSalary: £25,000-£30,000I am currently recruiting for a brilliant client of mine who pride themselves on putting their customers first. To support our Customer First strategy, we have created a brand-new role of Commercial Insights Analyst to join our Commercial Insights team.This role will work within the Marketing, Sales and Channel Teams as a trusted partner and advisor and will be responsible for not only reporting but analysis, generating meaningful insights and highlighting growth opportunities.The role

  • Analyse internal and external sales information to give insights and recommendations to the Marketing, Sales and Channel Teams
  • Understand the business commercially and develop industry knowledge to spot trends and gaps and make recommendations
  • Clearly communicate conclusions, analysis and insights from sales data to key stakeholders
  • Become a business partner and channel expert
  • Report on our Sales Performance to the board on a monthly basis
  • Understand and become highly competent in spotting trends and reporting on customers, product category, price point and channel.
  • Carry out a range of customer and competitor research activities, including modelling, using data from our customers, as well as paid for and publicly available sources
  • Educate the business to make effective and efficient use of all available data
  • Support other teams by collaborating on key projects, generating insights, sharing best practice and conducting ad hoc analyses.
The candidate:Were looking for someone who:
  • Can understand the bathroom industry, our customers, markets, and products
  • Is data literate, using data as a resource to be converted into actionable insights
  • Has strong Excel and Office skills, and experience with a CRM and Business Intelligence Tools such as Qlikview, Qliksense or Power BI
  • Has excellent communication skills at all levels within an organisation, ensuring data is presented in appropriate styles in a way people understand
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm and energy when it comes to market, customer and product data and providing actionable insights
  • Can become the trusted internal expert advising the marketing, product and sales managers in the channel team that they will contribute to.
