Job Description

Goods and Services Buyer up to £40,000Birmingham City CentreBCR/TH/10614Bell Cornwall Recruitment are looking for an experienced Goods and Services Buyer to join a fantastic Professional Services business in Birmingham City Centre.The opportunity to receive study support for the MCIPS Qualification is available if not yet qualified. Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Work with support functions to initiate and deliver procurement projects in compliance, delivering plans and leading commercial negotiations
  • Lead procurement projects and ensure an audit trail is in place for the selection and appointment of suppliers
  • Deal with renewals and competition of existing contracts
  • Identify new cost reduction opportunities and lead projects to facilitate their delivery
  • Manage Supplier Contracts Database and Supplier Portal
The ideal Goods and Services Buyer:
  • Experience within a similar role, working with suppliers and influencing stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Knowledge of the procurement process and ideally working knowledge of ERP / finance / purchase order systems
  • Qualified or willing to work towards MCIPS qualification - study support sponsorship
