Job Description

GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAIN CONTROLLERContract: PermanentHours: Full time (37.5 hours), Monday to FridayLocation: Erdington (Hybrid)Salary: £42,000 per annumBenefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, auto enrolment pension, death in service 3x salary.An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Supply Chain Controller to join a leading manufacturing organisation based in North Birmingham. The successful candidate will have solid experience in production planning, strong use of analytics,supply chain flexibility, be numeracy skills minded and have excellent Microsoft Excel skills.Duties include:

  • Working with production to agree the types and quantities of product to be manufactured.
  • Review customer orders, forecast, and contracts to determine inventory requirements.
  • Prepare monthly and review with Director of Global Supply Chain, the UK product forecast (volume & value). Aggregate with overseas operation forecasts and present to CEO, CCO, COO, CFO, and PD.
  • Optimising inventory at site level to ensure customer service execution.
  • Build a process to allow S&OP framework for monthly sales forecasting meetings.
  • Create and execute a project plan to build a new model / process to allow the company to plan and schedule production.
  • Optimise new products being manufactured by operations for sales by agreeing the weekly MPS plan with the Production Planner and using latest Sales and order book information to deliver the products to maximise monthly sales.
  • Update monthly inventory report to showcase historic stock, stock growth or reduction from the preceding month.
  • Create and optimise min-max stock levels for the UK warehouse taking into consideration the annual budget, seasonal demand, and re-forecasts.
  • Control the global intercompany programme across all sites.
  • Generate and monitor the Master Production Schedule for the UK production facility to satisfy customer demand, whilst maintaining optimum stock levels, utilising latest sales and order book information to maximise monthly sales.
  • Generate the forecast demand through analysis and consultation to provide accurate visibility of customer needs.
  • In conjunction with UK production manager, monitor the capability of the site to meet customer demand and major future new business opportunities.
  • Produce, review, and report on KPIs for visibility of Supply Chain performance.
  • Monitor production output versus required expectations.
Customer Service Related:
  • Daily assistance of order pipeline to ensure order fulfilment.
  • Shared responsibility for improvement and reporting of OTIF.
  • Assistance with UK Warehouse Manager and Despatch to ensure product orders are despatched on time.
  • Provide management information to help support the creation of start of week report and daily sales tracker.
  • Month end closure, to ensure all sales are collated for the UK, US, and China businesses to provide a group sales result for the business.
Skills and experience required:
  • Strong use of analytics.
  • Production planning exposure.
  • Material planning scheduling.
  • Inventory background - understand stock and how it works.
  • Numerically minded.
  • Excel skills.
