Job Description

Mobico Group has a need for a highly experienced Procurement professional with either a strong fleet or energy/fuel experience. The candidate will have a proven track record of negotiating and managing contracts for major projects across a global category.Required to develop category strategies to achieve cost reduction targets while driving for a high quality and highly flexible supply-base. Furthermore, support the wider Group deliverables through delivery of targeted savings.The role will be hybrid working two to three days onsite at our headquarters in Birmingham with occasional international travel.What youll do...Conduct global category spend analysis to confirm opportunities.Provide formal project progress on a weekly basis highlighting any significant risks or opportunities.Lead global category management activities and initiatives to meet target metrics and desired outcomesIdentify and communicate key supplier risk areas and support business plans to mitigate identified supplier risksDrive preferred supplier opportunities and consolidate supply base where appropriateDevelop and maintain relationships with regional leadership and stakeholdersDrive improvement initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders and other cross functional teamsRegularly engage in stakeholder planning discussions to ensure alignment between departments, company, and indirect procurement goalsCreate and maintain spend management strategy for the overall spend category as well as subcategoriesDevelop annual project pipelines and engage in stakeholder project planning discussions to understand required support from Indirect ProcurementLead the delivery of the global category plan ensuring it is executed in accordance with agreed sourcing plan methodology.Delivery of formal supply contracts in coordination with the legal team ensuring a register of all supplier agreements are in placeParticipate as member of the global purchasing team leading the business stakeholders to build strong supply chain relationships.What youll need...At least 7-10 years’ experience of managing and delivering a Fleet or Utility (Energy/Fuel) category.Experience of completing projects independently would be advantageous.Studying or qualified on a professional qualification e.g. CIPSExperience of driving significant P&L cost savingsMajor corporate and ideally international experienceA strong understanding of finance would be beneficial.What we offer in return for your hard work and commitment...Car allowanceBonusFree Bus & Coach travel for yourselfComplimentary coach travel for a Nominated Person or complimentary bus travel for a Spouse or Partner50% discount for friends and family on full fares on our coach servicesCompany pensionLife AssuranceEmployee Assistance programmePrivate online GP serviceNational Express is proud to be a Disability Committed organisation.
