Geotechnical Engineer - Long-term Contract - Competitive RatesA new role has opened within Central Government. This is a role for someone with extensive experience as a Geotechnical Engineer with proven IWA and COSS competencies and earthworks inspection experience.This is a 6 month contract working directly for a well-funded Government Department. The role is primarily location-based and some flexibility is required, depending on business needs. Youll be working on a major construction project working directly fora well-funded Government Departments.The ideal candidate will have a Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology or an equivalent relevant subject.Responsibilities:* Undertake evaluation, assessment and risk management of Geotechnical assets* Assess and implement control measures* Direct the implementation of monitoring systems* Support the development of delivery plans and asset strategiesRequirement:* HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Geology or an equivalent relevant subject* Working towards membership of a relevant professional institution* Experience of asset examination and assessment* Understanding of safety management systems and risk assessment techniques* Valid UK driving licenceAdvantages:* Working directly for a well-funded Government Department* Long-term contract* Competitive ratesIf this sounds like a job for you, send your CV to the contact details below.
