Job Description

Job Title: Gas EngineerLocation: Midlands - Birmingham/Walsall/CoventrySalary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annumCallout: 1 in 7Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair gas systems and appliances in residential and commercial settings.
  • Conduct inspections and testing of gas installations to ensure compliance with Gas Safe regulations and British Standards.
  • Diagnose and rectify gas-related faults efficiently and effectively.
  • Respond promptly to emergency callouts and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Keep accurate records of work carried out, including maintenance schedules and safety checks.
  • Liaise with clients and other stakeholders to understand their gas requirements and provide expert advice and solutions.
  • Follow health and safety regulations and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Gas Safe registered with relevant qualifications (Gas 35:BS 65).
  • Proven experience as a Gas Engineer, preferably in both domestic and commercial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of gas systems, appliances, and regulations.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Full driving license.
  • Flexibility to participate in an on-call rotation (1 in 7).
