Job Description

Senior Full Stack Developer Birmingham / Remote for NowMy client, a fantastic organisation in Birmingham is looking to expand its team by hiring a senior full stack developer to join them.This is a newly created role and will see you working at a senior level looking at the development and acting as the "go to" for any thing technical. You will also ideally have an understand of technical architecture as well. This role will see you contributing to and driving forward the design, build and testing of the inhouse bespoke systemsCore responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:*Develop applications and business solutions to support business functions, meeting project objectives.*Document detailed technical specifications based on business requirements. Work with stakeholders and end users as necessary to produce prototypes / models / process flows for user interfaces, customised applications and interactions with other systems and services.*Collaborate with internal departments to ensure technology environment supports internal needs relating to functionality and performance.*Work with Agile project team, users and vendors on development and implementation of new/upgraded applications and products rollout.*Ensure all completed projects and developments are handed over to the business with the correct suite of procedures and handover documents so that business as normal service can continue once the project is completed.*Line management responsibilitiesYou will be expected to work collaboratively with a team of experienced developers creating code improvements to improve the technical environment. Working at a senior level working with micro-services and an in depth knowledge of full stack development you will be working with the latest software techniques and technologies.The ideal candidate will have:*Strong development and design skills and a good understanding of well-engineering application design*Strong front end developer skills with experience of frameworks such as React JS or Angular*Strong back end developer experience using Node.js or similar*Strong experience developing integrations using REST / SOAP APIs, database query languages such as MySQL or MSSQL and development of responsive / adaptive websites*Knowledge of one or more object orientated programming language such as Java, C#, Python or PHP*Experience in architecting and developing microservices*Experience and understanding of working in an Agile development environment*Experience or good understanding of TDD (Test Driven Development)*Solid understanding and experience of working in a DevOps environment and CI / CD tools such as Jenkins*Version control software such as Git, GitHub, Bitbucket*Able to use CSS compilers such as SASS, LESS or stylus*Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a keen eye for detailAny experience in a FINTECH environment, working with open source project and familiarity with cross platforms would be advantageous but not essential.In turn for your skills my client is offering a salary of up to £60000 plus an excellent benefits package, which includes a 35 hour working week, 30 days annual leave PLUS bank holidays as well as private healthcare, excellent pension and more!This role will be remote for now with the expectation that the role will be Birmingham based 2/3 days a week post COVID.Apply today for immediate consideration!Spring acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
