Job Description

Contract Opportunity in Harborne, Birmingham, United Kingdom B17 0TGAbout the company:A global manufacturing leader.Full Stack Developer Overview: Join their dynamic team on a fixed term 18 month FTC basis and take the lead in delivering their innovative market leading web application. Collaborate closely with in-house developers and the IT team to create, support, and enhance this groundbreaking CustomerPortal/E-Commerce solution. As a key contributor, youll play a crucial role in understanding legacy systems, project scope, and business requirements to ensure the successful delivery of a fast, secure, and professional application.Primary Responsibilities for the Full Stack Developer:

  • Ensure the project is executed with high competence, meeting agreed completion/implementation dates.
  • Understand, scope, document, and develop the application based on specifications and ideas.
  • Contribute input, knowledge, and expertise to maximize project outcomes.
  • Engage in full-cycle development, covering initial discussions through to final assets and support.
  • Design applications, develop code, create/amend databases, implement cyber-security measures, and integrate with other applications/systems.
  • Produce professional UI layouts and applications, showcasing them to gather feedback.
  • Comment and document work throughout the development cycle, including the production of high-standard user manuals.
  • Design visual imagery in line with company branding policies.
  • Be accountable for the delivery, installation, training, and ongoing support of the project.
  • Collaborate as a team player in larger IT projects, taking responsibility for key areas.
  • Create, update, and support all internally developed applications.
  • Provide end-user and business-user support for the application.
  • Complete all administration tasks to company standards and within agreed timescales.
  • Plan, prepare, and organize training programs, documenting all relevant information from design through to evaluation.
  • Deliver ongoing training and support for users.
  • Plan, prepare, design, and implement an effective working environment for development projects, covering design, development, testing, and live areas.
  • Develop a positive working practice and environment in collaboration with existing developers.
  • Agree to undertake new and additional IT projects/tasks and responsibilities to meet future business needs as identified.
To be successful in this Full Stack Developer role, you should have:
  • Previous experience in E-Commerce development.
  • Proficiency in creating beautiful, responsive UI screens using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.
  • Knowledge of implementing good security practices, including complex passwords and multi-factor authentication.
