Job Description

Fire Extinguisher Engineer - Birmingham - £28,000 - £32,000 per annumAlecto Recruitment is currently representing a very well-established fire and security provider within the Midlands area. You will mainly be covering the midlands and surrounding. They are currently looking for a fire extinguisher engineer who is capableof installing, servicing & maintaining fire extinguishers.This is an excellent opportunity to join a company who really cares about their engineers. You will be joining a company wherethere is a proper progression plan and career path available.Requirements for Fire Extinguisher Engineer

  • Good knowledge and experience with extinguishers
  • Knowledge of Emergency lighting & fire alarms would be a bonus
  • Have good knowledge of BS5839
  • BAFE registered & qualified
  • Hold a full driving licence
  • Have good customer relations skills
Responsibilities for Fire Extinguisher Engineer
  • Servicing and installation of portable fire extinguishers to the relevant standards.
  • Identify & Install Fire signage
  • Assist with Dry Riser & Hydrant servicing
  • To undertake practical fire training
  • Accurately complete certificates and paperwork for each job.
  • Work to schedule and within the deadlines set by the company
  • Complete site surveys where required
  • Ensure adequate stock levels on your van are maintained at all times.
  • Offer the highest standards of customer service
Knowledge, Skills & Experience required:
  • Good time management
  • Work to high company standards
  • Have good customer relations skills
  • Good knowledge of BS5839
  • Capable of reading and marking up site drawings
  • Have CSCS/ECS Card (Or willing to obtain one)
  • Hold full driving licence
  • BAFE registered & qualified
