We are supporting a household retail business in Birmingham to appoint a Financial Accounting Manager to help keep the business on track to deliver its reporting objectives.Due to an internal secondment, this role will provide an exceptional handover experience and opportunity to immediately deliver alongside the Finance Directorate and Executive Board.The organisation have invested heavily into robotics, automation and forensic analysis in order to drive efficiency and commercial outputs. This role will complement those efforts, providing exceptional consolidated group reporting and commercial analysis to the C-suite level.The ability to provide technical accounting excellence (IFRS & UK GAAP) with an appreciation for the business growth, development and integration strategy is imperative.Ideally, you will:• Take ownership for Group Financial Reporting working collaboratively with Finance Managers across the business• Provide trusted and commercially sound technical accounting advice to the business (IFRS & UK GAAP)• Monitor the accuracy and processing of balance sheet financials - continuously improving the process• Ensure a robust and complete contribution to monthly Board packs and presentationsIn return, you will:• Have the provide Board level reporting and spearhead step change in finance process• Be able to work with a world- renowned retail brand with generous benefits• Receive opportunities to be challenged and grow your senior career Required skills
