Job Description

Financial Accountant | 3-months | £500 per day (inside IR35) | Birmingham For the largest and most exciting transport projects in Europe, we are recruiting an interim Financial Accountant for 3 months starting ASAP. The interim Financial Accountant will be covering for the recruitment of a couple of posts and will lead on the cash forecast submissions, including capital contribution requests; will lead on the Balance Sheet preparation for month-end; and will ensure financial controls and records are compliant to IFRSs.Main Duties:

  • Prepare and be responsible for all cash forecast submissions including capital contribution requests
  • Lead and manage areas of the Balance Sheet to support the preparation and submission of month-end results
  • Manage and lead areas of the financial systems and records to ensure they are robust and comply with financial standards
  • Assist with the streamlining of financial processes
  • Provide technical advice to senior management and stakeholders on technical accounting treatments and standards
    • Person Specification:
  • Qualified Accountant (CCAB - ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
  • Substantial cash forecasting experience
  • Substantial Balance Sheet reconciliation and preparation experience (month-end)
  • Strong Excel and Oracle experience
  • Strong IFRS / UK GAAP experience
