We are supporting a global commercial insurance player to appoint a Financial Accountant in Birmingham. This global insurance group provides custom insurance products for professional and corporate services institutions. Due to increased market demand and new innovative commercial services offered following 2020 the role has been created to oversee UK entities within the group.You will report to the Group Accounting Manager; providing full cover on year end statutory reporting and insightful group commercial financial analysis whilst also partnering with the transformation team to give any flash reporting needed for special projects for the UK business units.Ideally, you will:• Possess outstanding financial accounting abilities with a strong background working within a similar audit/financial accounting function of a listed business or top practice.• Be fully qualified via the ACA or ACCA route with a clear aptitude to learn, adapt and contribute the overall commercial objectives of this global industry player.• Have the ability to provide thorough, detailed and accurate financial accounting data to varying and demanding deadlines.• Exhibit a clear and demonstrable desire to immerse yourself within the financial, commercial and operation facets of the business and seek to add value to the business and its culture.In return, you will:• Work within a unique global insurance business with access to the world’s top corporations• Receive clear routes to progress your career as you take ownership for the commercial drivers within the business• Be able to utilise new skillsets due to an ability to provide strategic advice affecting Group operations• Be encouraged and empowered to create new projects and investigate existing processes to innovate during a time of unprecedented growth and client demandThis is a rare opportunity for a high performing Financial Accountant to enjoy new experiences and learn within a successful global environment - within a business striving to maximise it commercial growth, its people, and its clients.
