SF Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for a Finalist or Newly Qualified Accountant to join a dynamic and thriving business in North Birmingham. This is a highly successful and profitable business that have an excellent company culture and a proventrack record of quickly progressing talented individuals. This role will involve a wide range of responsibilities, including financial reporting, analysis, and compliance tasks. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and gain valuable experience in a fast-pacedenvironment. This role will suit someone with experience in a technical financial accounting role, potentially a first time mover from practice. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and company policies. - Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance. - Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes. - Assist with external audit activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. - Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies as needed. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and drive efficiency. - Assist in ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required. Requirements: - Finalist to newly qualified ACCA, ACA, or equivalent qualification. - Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting standards. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
