Job Description

RM Recruit Ltd is working in partnership with a fantastic business who are based close to the Jewellery Quarter and are seeking a Finance Manager on a permanent basis. Our client is a dynamic and growing business and as a key player in their industry, theyare committed to maintaining financial excellence and sustainable growth.The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with a strong background in finance, particularly within the construction sector and/or working with local authorities. This role will be on-site five days per week, ensuring close collaboration with variousdepartments and stakeholders to implement effective financial processes and controls.Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement robust financial processes and controls to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with department heads and senior management.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and liquidity to support operational needs and strategic initiatives.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making and drive business performance.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks through proactive risk assessment and management strategies.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards, including liaison with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners, including local authorities, to address financial challenges and achieve organizational goals.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
As the ideal candidate you will be:
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with extensive experience in finance management roles.
  • Proven experience within the construction sector and/or working with local authorities is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Excel.
The entirety of this role is office based and there are good transport links minutes from their offices.
