SF Recruitment are currently working with a fantastic charity based in central Birmingham. They are looking to on board an experienced Finance Manager, to take the reins of the day to day finances of the organisation whilst managing a small team of 2. Thisis a great opportunity to join an organisation who are committed to a flexible and trusting working model. Key tasks: - To manage the day-to-day processing activities of the Finance department including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, cash and the finances of its non-charitable trading arm enterprises. - To manage month end and develop monthly management reports for project leads and senior management, - To manage the organisations accounting system (including Opera and Dynamics) to ensure the accurate production of management reports and accounts (including cash flow forecasts, annual budgets, income and expenditure accounts, claims and returns to funders). - To be responsible for the correct and timely submission of all returns required by the Inland Revenue and Customs. - To ensure all statutory financial and other records, compliance and related inspections are met on time and records kept with regard to PAYE, NIC, VAT and Companies House. - To develop, implement and review finance policies, procedures and systems to ensure continuous improvement in service delivery, including the efficient maintenance of financial records, ensuring these are communicated to, and understood by, managers and staff. - To manage the year end audit for and external organisations as appropriate. - To manage pension scheme - To develop the business plan for back office services including income generation targets. - To be responsible for the correct and lawful maintenance of payroll and accounting system for internal and external organisations. - To oversee the delivery of the Back Office support services and to work with staff to increase the uptake of the services.
