Job Description

Birmingham areaFinance Director / Head of Finance£80m+ turnover - Privately Owned SME£80 - 100,000 + benefitsOur client is a leading privately owned Tour Operator and Travel Provider, turnover £80+m and growing significantly. Due to its success and to aid further growth, the company is looking to recruit a Finance Director / Head of Finance for its Management team.Working closely with the CEO and Operations Director and overseeing the Financial Controller and a finance team of 6-7, this Finance Director role will be both hands-on and strategic including:

  • Oversee the management accounting and budgetary processes
  • Financial modelling, produce forecasts, investment appraisals and analyses
  • Oversee working capital and cash flow of the business
  • Research market changes to aid strategic financial decision making
  • Contribute commercial decision making from margin and pricing analysis
  • Advising on and implementing strategies to increase revenue and reduce costs
  • Develop further analysis on each department, commissions, product split etc
  • Prepare financial statements and business activity reports
  • Manage the audit process and overseeing all tax affairs
  • Liaising with the bank, ATOL, ABTA, IATA and other professional advisors
  • Risk management and ensure all accounting activities comply with regulations.
A background in travel or hospitality will be useful but is not essential.This Finance Director role requires an ambitious commercial Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACMA, ACCA) with a proven track record. You should have excellent communication and analytical skills, strong leadership qualities and the gravitas and businessacumen to contribute to decision-making as the company embarks on the next stage of its development.Exciting move for an ambitious qualified accountant.
