The successful candidate will be working closely with the Senior Finance Managers tolead the forecasting, drive sale performance, risk mitigation, identify opportunities and influence the strategic direction.Key responsibilities of the FBP * Finance Business partner to the OD of your division* Presenting key FP&A messages at weekly and monthly ops meetings* Offer financial support to your Area Managers to implement profitable actions* Identify profitable opportunities within your division in-line with the business strategy* Exception reporting and analysis to focus on areas of under performance* Trend analysis across multiple different KPIs to identify good and bad performance vs expectation/market and sport downturns before they happen* Working with other areas of the business to ensure well rounded insight is at the heart of decision making* Input into target setting processes for managed pubs including, meetings support, cost line forecasting and scenario modelling* Divisional ownership of the periodic forecast process and controllable profit outturn and keeping it as accurate as possible to the P&L* Periodic Divisional profit reviews highlighting performance vs target and Key business KPIs* Working closely with the accounts team to interrogate the Divisional P&L. This will include highlighting inconsistencies within processes and potential cost savings* Supporting our Capex agenda with detailed, site-specific performance reviews to highlight opportunities to improve profitability* Work closely with the reporting and planning team to ensure your databases are kept up to date* Developing analysis within PowerBI* Ownership of the divisional bonus allocation process* Supporting ops training by delivering our finance training to deputy managers via our accolade programKey skills and experience required of the FBP* Fully qualified ACCA, CIMA etc* The ability to get to the answer in a clear and concise manner* An inquisitive mind, with good commercial acumen* A problem-solving attitude with the desire to help others and find a solution that suits all parties* IT literacy and strong Excel skills. Experience of Power Bi is useful* Ability to co-ordinate meetings via video calls* Knowledge of EPOS data or other Business Intelligence applications are advantageous* Capable of communicating financial information to different audiences* Must be able to work both as part of a team and independently* Good organisation and time management skills are essential to this role.
