If you prefer to be out on the road and working in a fast paced, exhilarating, and a little bit (just a teeny tiny bit) demanding environment, JBT have the perfect opportunity for you.We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to provide on-going technical support to our customers following installation of new and current equipment, as well as supporting with troubleshooting and repairs throughout the life cycle of theequipment, both from a mechanical and technical perspective.As a Field Service Engineer, you will report into our Livingston site, and will be required to visit customers across the UK and Ireland, with some international travel. You can be based anywhere in the UK!ResponsibilitiesAspects of the Field Service Engineer role include understanding and managing the impact on service budgets, conduct service calls in line with established agreements, follow up on actions required stemming from a plant visit or telephonecall. It is important that as a Field Service Engineer you provide clear and efficient communication around delays, deviations and any mechanical and/or electrical issues to the customer and the management team. You are expected to presentadequate advice and support, as well as making suggestions and recommendations for improvements or the necessary modifications for maintaining the equipment.Once trained to a competent level you will be required to work independently, using your own initiative with minimum direct supervision. From here you will be involved in training customer technical support staff, as required, on operation, sanitation andmaintenance of best practices.There is a requirement to be available to work a certain number of weekends a year.The ideal experience for our Field Service Engineer would be -
