Job Description

Field Service Engineer - Birmingham - Salary: £34,000A valuable opportunity has become available for a Field Service Engineer with an Electronical/Mechanical background to cover the area of Birmingham.The purpose of the Field Service Engineer is to ensure that all service and repairs on cleaning machines are completed on time and where possible on the first call to achieve customer satisfaction and to meet contractual agreements.Main duties of the Field Service Engineer:

  • Provide quality support to customers through courteous and knowledgeable communication
  • Ensure all jobs are attended to and repairs are completed within the contracted service level agreement.
  • Attend follow up calls to complete repairs where additional parts have been ordered.
  • Attend and complete scheduled planned maintenance services as instructed.
  • Booking parts in/out to ensure van stock re-ordering levels are adhered to and parts are correctly replenished.
  • Provide accurate and detailed reports upon every site visit to maintain integrity of asset data
Key competencies of the Field Service Engineer:
  • Excellent fault finding and testing skills of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience in using electrical, electronic, and mechanical tooling
  • Excellent time management skills and capable of prioritising workload
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Good IT skills and competent in using a tablet.
  • Full, manual driving licence
The role of the Field Service Engineer is an exciting permanent & full-time opportunity. Our client offers an annual salary of £34,000 per annum alongside many benefits, including health insurance and cash back scheme; life assurance; high street and restaurantdiscounts; bonus and company van.Working hours of the Field Service Engineer:
  • 6-week rota - 1 in 3 Saturdays, 1 in 6 Sundays. Average 44.5 hours per week.
  • 6.00am - 04.00pm Monday to Saturday / 08.00am - 02.00pm on Sundays
  • Occasional weekend overtime available paid at 1.5X
