Job Description

Bewleys Tea & Coffee UK Ltd are one ofthe leading suppliers of hot beverage solutions to the foodservice sector. Bewleys UK offers nationwide sales and service support with coffee roasting capability at our roastery in Yorkshire.We have an exciting opportunity to join our sales team as a Account Sales Manager working in the West Midlandsarea. The Account Sales Manager is responsible for achieving the agreed sales targets, profit and business goals by managing customer accounts inthe allocated territory. To identify new customer opportunities and develop existing customer base by delivering first class customer service and training.ResponsibilitiesCustomer Management

  • Building strong relationships with customers in the independent channel and key customers.
  • Ensure planned visits to all customers are hit within the agreed call frequency e.g. 12 week, 6 week, 4 week
  • Focus on business development opportunities to drive incremental sales in your territory.
  • Investigate and develop incremental initiatives in existing accounts, to generate sales revenue
  • Manage all admin related to your customers, internal record keeping, and journey planning is completed for your territory within agreed timescales.
  • Influence head office agreed activation within customer base.
Financial Management
  • Delivering the budgeted revenue and profit objectives.
  • Margin maintenance and enhancement across products and equipment in line with budgeted parameters.
  • Ensure all cost control and management of expenses fall in line with the defined Bewleys procedures.
  • Work with colleagues to ensure effective use of commercial investment across your defined territory.
  • Invoice management in accordance with National Account instruction and following approved procedures and tracking tools
  • Provide accurate forecasting for the key accounts that you work with
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide sales and account performance analysis on each account as requested
New Business Development & Execution
  • As part of the Grumpy Mule task force deliver against the sales targets for new Grumpy Mule distribution points, as part of this you be required to blitz conurbation and community areas around the UK.
  • Understand if equipment opportunities exist to drive additional feature in outlet.
  • Identification of new mini multiples to develop and drive incremental sales.
  • Focus on growing and developing existing customers, together with generating new business, using a pipeline for reporting
  • To project manage new business wins with the wider Bewleys departments (Marketing, QA, Service, etc)
  • To develop extensive knowledge of competitors and their activities in territory.
Planning & Organisation
  • Self - manage your time on territory (to achieve a minimum of 25 customer visits per week and 5 prospect visits per week)
  • Manage all customer interaction in the field including business development; coffee quality; training; machine movements; administration and all aspects of outstanding sales support
  • Maintain an up to date 12 weekly journey plan by call frequency (all customers)
  • All customers to be visited on a minimum of 12 weekly basis
  • All customer record documents are imputed via CRM platform.
Skills
  • You must should be able to demonstrate that you are responsible, reliable and trustworthy and aware that every action must reflect a strong personal commitment to our customers and brand.
  • Dynamic, highly motivated and pro-active individual with a passion for coffee
  • A standard level of IT skills (Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Strong commercial ability
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
