Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher looking for a fulfilling opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children with autism Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Primary Teacher to join the team in theEarly Years SEN Resource Base in a primary school in Kings Heath.About the School:The school is a well-established and highly regarded primary school that has specific provision that caters to the unique educational needs of children with autism. The school have a commitment to providing a holistic approach to education, recognising the importance of individualised support and tailored learning plans for each child.Role and Responsibilities:As a Primary Teacher working within Early Years SEN Resource Base, you will play a crucial role in the development and education of a class of 10 children with autism. Supported by two members of support staff, you will be responsible for delivering an engagingand inclusive curriculum, tailored to meet the individual needs of each student.Key responsibilities include:Planning and delivering high-quality lessons that promote the holistic development of children with autism, using appropriate strategies and resources.Creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that supports the individual needs of each student.Collaborating with the support staff to implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.Assessing student progress, providing regular feedback, and maintaining accurate records of achievement.Building positive relationships with parents/carers, providing regular communication and support.Working collaboratively with the wider school team, including SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators) and other professionals involved in the childrens care.Requirements:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.Proven experience in teaching and supporting children with autism, preferably within an early years setting.A solid understanding of autism spectrum disorders and familiarity with relevant teaching strategies and interventions.Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and collaborate with parents, support staff, and professionals.A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to supporting children with autism.Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and implement new strategies.About Tradewind:We attract top education talent and in return offer top rates of payWe care about your training and development more than any other agency - which is why we can offer you 45 CPD courses!Great referral scheme - recommend a friend and earn a brilliant bonus of up to £100!Full interview preparation and assistance - so youre fully prepped and confident, increasing your chances of successOnline Portal for your timesheets and log your availabilityFree social and networking events to get to know your peers and consultantsDoes this sound like a role for you If so, I would love to hear from you.
