Job Description

VHR is seeking a detail-oriented, results-driven Executive Search Researcher to join our international technical recruitment company based at VHR’s Birmingham office, located in Central Birmingham. The primary focus of this role will be to deliver high-qualitycandidate research to support our clients within the Aviation MRO, Aerospace, and Engineering industries across the UK, Europe, the United States, and Asia.The Opportunity:Working closely with the Director of VHR Executive Search, this is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to build a prosperous career by conducting high-quality candidate research to support VHR’s markets and clients.The Executive Search Researcher will play a vital role in engaging with candidates through phone interviews and vetting processes. The ability to communicate and interact with candidates is crucial for ensuring the success of our executive search endeavours.The ultimate goal is to become the head of VHR’s Executive Search Research Department, where you will be responsible for training and guiding new team members as the company grows. Prior experience in executive search is not required, as full training andsupport will be provided by the Director.The Company:VHR is a multi-award winning technical recruitment company, headquartered in London, supplying contract and permanent technical and professional staff to our clients within the Aerospace & Aviation, F1 & Automotive, Civils & Infrastructure, and Marine sectors.VHR currently employs 65 members of staff across its 7 offices in London, Manchester, Abu Dhabi, Bologna, Prague, Leipzig and Nicosia and generates a turnover of over £40M annually.The Company’s medium-term aims are to grow to 90+ staff and £60M annual turnover.

  • Role Responsibilities:Candidate Engagement and Vetting: The Executive Search Researcher will be responsible for proactively engaging with candidates, including conducting phone interviews and vetting processes.
  • Market Research: Conduct in-depth research on the Aviation MRO, Aerospace, and Engineering industries in the UK, Europe, United States, and Asia. Stay updated on industry trends, key players, and emerging opportunities.
  • Client Research: Gather information about existing and potential clients within the specified industries. This includes identifying key decision-makers, company structures, and their hiring needs.
  • Competitor Analysis: Research and analyse the strategies and strengths of competitors in the executive search space, providing insights for VHRs positioning and growth strategies.
  • Report Generation: Prepare detailed reports and summaries based on research findings. These reports will be used to guide business decisions and support VHRs executive search efforts.
  • Mapping of Talent Pools: Identify and map potential candidates within the Aviation MRO, Aerospace, and Engineering sectors, evaluating their qualifications and suitability for various roles.
  • Collaboration with the Director: Work closely with the Director of VHR Executive Search to align research efforts with company objectives and strategies.
  • Training and Mentorship: As you grow in your role, provide training and mentorship to new team members who join the Executive Search Research Department.
