Job Description

DLUHC Department for Levelling Up, Housing and CommunitiesDELIVERY SUPPORT OFFICER EO (Executive Officer)Looking for a new role Were hiring!The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities supports communities across the UK to thrive, making them great places to live and work. Their work includes investing in local areas to drive growth and create jobs, delivering the homes our countryneeds, supporting our community and faith groups, and overseeing local government, planning and building safety.The post sits within the team responsible for delivery of the England European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Programme. As Programme Delivery Support Officer (EO), you will be responsible for working within the Programme Delivery Team to supporting thedelivery of a number of interesting place-based projects which deliver against the levelling up agendaAn excellent package is offered, including:

  • £12.42 per hour pay rate
  • Starting as soon as you have passed clearance checks until the end of January 2024
  • Accrual of up to 33 days paid annual leave pro rata available (inclusive of bank holidays)
  • Working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility as the office opens at 8.30am to 5pm
  • These roles could be based in Nottingham, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Exeter, Truro or Plymouth with one also in Cambridge
  • Full training given
  • Potential for hybrid working once fully trained except Cambridge, which will involve archiving data
Key Responsibilities:Your responsibilities may include:
  • working closely with external grant recipients, internal contract managers and management teams;
  • checking claims evidence
  • managing key information, ensuring it is entered accurately, stored appropriately and accessible to those that need it; and
  • circulating regular commissions for monitoring updates and maintaining trackers to ensure key processes are well managed;
  • supporting the completion of management information reports where necessary so that progress of key issues can be monitored; and
  • drafting letters and correspondence, using templates.

  • Strong skills using Excel
  • The ability to review and analyse information
  • The ability to work as part of a team and quickly build up working relationships
  • The ability to work to deadlines and adapt to changing circumstances
Desirable (not essential)
  • Knowledge of EU funding regimes
  • Financial experience
