Gi Group Birmingham are currently recruiting for Event Managers for an international sporting event in Birmingham this summer.Position summaryThe Manager is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the Front of House department in absence of the Venue Manager. Together with the kitchen you deliver an outstanding experience to the resort guests* Organises and attends daily and weekly manager meetings with other departments * Deputises Managers morning meeting and give feedback to management team * Implements and follows standard operating procedures and standards * Trains, inspires and motivates supervisors and staff* Helps ensure high standards of food and beverage quality, service and delivery to ensure outstanding customer service. * Ensures compliance with all regulatory controls both internal and external including but not limited to UK laws. * Ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards. * Spends time each day in venues to ensure that service standards and operations are in order * Reviews and evaluates customer satisfaction and sequence of service and makes adjustments in operations * Develop risk management and mitigation strategies * Ensure service is maintained at the utmost of quality levels through proper execution of the service * Performs daily walkthrough of department and reports issues to maintenance Financial Responsibility* Overseeing stocktake data to keep track uptake and costs* Assists the Food and Beverage Manager in managing the staffing levels from front to end, adjusting and input into the preparation of the required daily and weekly reportsExperience and Qualifications* Minimum 3 years of relevant experience* Strong food hygiene qualifications* Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests* Excellent management, delegation and presentation skills* Strong influence, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, problem solving and creative solution generation skills* Able to quickly integrate into a team and be recognized as a leader* Able to interact with others while maintaining a positive and professional demeanour* Must be able to work evenings, weekends and the hours required to fulfil the principal duties and responsibilities* Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of timeGi Group Holdings Recruitment Limited group of companies includes Gi Recruitment Limited, Draefern Limited, Gi Group Recruitment Ltd, INTOO (UK) Limited, Marks Sattin (UK) Limited, TACK TMI UK Limited and Grafton Professional Staffing Limited.
