Job Description

Estimator - Industrial and Commercial Roofing and Cladding RefurbishmentsLocation: Birmingham, UKSalary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (subject to experience) + Car/Expenses, Laptop, and MobileAbout:My client is a prominent player in the industrial and commercial roofing and cladding refurbishments sector, known for their commitment to quality and client satisfaction. Headquartered in Birmingham, we are seeking a talented Estimator to join our dynamicteam.As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in accurately assessing the costs of roofing and cladding refurbishment projects. You will work closely with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to provide comprehensive estimates, ensuring that projectsare financially viable and delivered with precision.Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed analyses of project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather relevant information for estimating purposes.
  • Evaluate material, labour, and equipment costs to determine project expenses.
  • Prepare and present cost estimates, ensuring clarity and transparency.
  • Participate in bid processes and negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, materials, and costs to enhance accuracy in estimating.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the industrial and commercial roofing and cladding sector.
  • Thorough knowledge of roofing and cladding materials, installation methods, and industry standards.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills with acute attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction estimating or a related field are advantageous.
