Job Description

English Academic CoachAre you a graduate with a passion for English Language and LiteratureAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and passionateEnglish Academic Coach to join a dynamic English department in Central Birmingham. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting under-achieving students in English across KeyStage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) on a 1:1 and small group basis.*** English Academic Coach*** £70 - £80 per day*** Immediate start, until July 2024*** Superb school based in Central Birmingham*** English KS3 & KS4 supportResponsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support and guidance to students struggling in English, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Assist in the planning, preparation, and delivery of engaging English lessons under the guidance of experienced teachers.
  • Conduct one-on-one sessions and small group sessions to reinforce learning objectives and improve student attainment.
  • Collaborate with the English department to develop resources and strategies that cater to individual student needs.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to both students and teaching staff.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in English or related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for education and supporting students academic growth.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Previous experience working with young people is advantageous.
