Working 5 days a week in the office is preferred as candidate work will be highly valued.Previous & present candidate job titles may include the following:Electronics & Embedded Systems Engineer, Embedded Systems Engineer, Senior/Lead/Principal Embedded Systems Engineer, Technical Lead Engineer and Embedded Systems Architect.The role:The successfulEmbedded Systems Architectjoin a small, friendly, and highly innovative growing development team and will take a leading role within the business whereby day to day activities will be a great mix of working on electronics hardwaredesign and firmware development. TheEmbedded Systems Architectwill take ownership in the design, engineering and development companys existing and expanding product range and technologies.Key Skills:

• 3-5+ years industry experience
• Experience in electronic engineering- both hardware design and embedded software
• Electronic Circuit Design (analogue/digital)
• PCB Design & Schematic CaptureAltium Designer, EasyEDA or similar
• Network interfacesSPI, I2C, USB, UART, Ethernet, CANbus, ADC, DAC
• Experience of MicrocontrollersEspressif ESP32, Microchips, STM32
• Embedded Software Programming in C, C++ or C#
• Other programming languagesAssembler, C# & .Net would be a bonus
• Have expertise in the development of embedded software systemse.g., bare metal, RTOS, drivers and GUI or similar microcontrollers
• RTOS ExperienceFreeRTOS, Windows, Linux, macOS or similar
• Firmware development - Bootloaders, OTA update, Wi-Fi and IOT core modules
• Experience of IDEs - Visual Studio, MPLABX, Eclipse, Keil, Arduino or similar
• Version Control SystemsGIT, SVN, JIRA or similar
• Strong technical ability, communication, project management and leadership skills
• Understanding of IoT development principles and security an advantage
• Agile development methodologies
