Electrical Technician (mechanical appreciation) – Wednesbury – Perm £45,448 a year + OvertimeAn opportunity to shine in a demanding customer focused environment working on a fleet of new state of the art and existing trams. Rail engineers or ex-forces are of particular interest.The SituationWorking for an large global organisation provide state of the art rolling stock solutions from countries around world. You will have the opportunity to become an integral part helping to maintain and repair some of these state of the art trains and trams .You will provide Fault Finding and Route Cause Analysis on Electrical and Electronic Systems on a Brand New State of the Art fleet of Trams, and older generations of trams for the Birmingham and surrounding areas, ensuring the trams are safe to go out intoservice and ultimately helping to ensure trams are running and providing a 1st class service for passengers with minimal disruptions to timetables.Working within a busy depot, using a variety of fault finding equipment to rectify faults and identify issues and carry out repairs.Location(s): Birmingham, WednesburyShifts: 07:30AM- 15:30PM (for 2 weeks)) 22:00PM - 06:30AM (for 2 weeks)Role and ResponsibilitiesTechnicians are expected to be capable of working on the following types of systems, diagnosing faults, repairing and replacing major components:Troubleshoot using electrical schematics, test equipment, and diagnostic software, and carry out corrective repairs necessary to ensure the warranty of the new tram’s equipment, including:
