Job Description

The purpose of the role is to provide a flexible electrically biased Mult-skilled Engineer approach to maintenance activities. The fundamentals of which are to fault find, diagnose and repair electrical problems to achieve optimum performance, while alwaysworking safely.Client DetailsSpecialists in the machining of cast iron, aluminium and steel parts up to 600mm square. Huge investments in the latest machining, washing, assembly and automation technology to ensure we meet customer requirements. As a result we have one of Europes mostup to date, flexible and innovative machine shops, fully certified to ISO 9001,EMS 14001 and IATF 16949.Description

  • Diagnose and repair fault electrical systems.
  • Liaison with other engineers and management and provide advice and suggestions utilising expertise and knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Inverters with the ability to fit alternative systems when required.
  • 3 phase, 240V single phase electrical installations.
  • Ability to read and fault find electrical and schematic drawings.
  • Using the appropriate test equipment, ability to identify defective component
Profile
  • Familiar and competent with organisational safety requirements e.g. Isolation & Permits to Work.
  • Familiar and competent with all types of AC/DC motors and associated control systems.
  • Ability to replace analogue and digital components.
  • Knowledge of Inverters with the ability to fit alternative systems when required.
  • Sound knowledge of 415V, 3 phase, 240V single phase electrical installations.
  • Ability to read and fault find electrical and schematic drawings.
  • Using the appropriate test equipment, ability to identify defective components.
  • Report any faults to Facilities Manager.
  • Maintain stock check / updating Facilities Manager with stock shortages.
  • Permit to Work completed.
  • Ensure necessary PPE is worn at all times.
