Job Description

We are currently looking for an Electrical Design & Manufacturing Manager to join our busy team!Salary: CompetitiveElectrical Design & Manufacturing Manager Duties:

  • Manage the work activities of the Electrical Design Team. Where required, taking responsibility for a wider team of engineers and training/mentoring junior engineers.
  • Manage the work activities of manufacturing personnel in the panel shops.
  • Project management of electrical design projects, liaising with customers, design team personnel, procurement and manufacturing.
  • Work with the sales team, adi colleagues or directly with customers to produce quality quotations to secure future works. Client liaison and interpreting clients requirements to provide engineering and cost documented proposals where required. Producingdesign specifications when required
  • Maintain up to date training of the Electrical design team and all standards required for projects and quality are adhered to. Maintain status as UL508A Manufacturers Technical Representative.
  • Review of the design systems and manage the systems to be lean and efficient.
  • Delivery of the detailed electrical designs inclusive of calculations and specifications as well as comprehensive drawings, utilising EPlan and AutoCAD software.
  • Provide electrical engineering support ensuring that technical standards are being applied through critical examination of design submissions
  • Provide technical advice within an area of expertise.
  • Ensuring a project is fit-for purpose and adheres to the project budget and schedule.
  • Ensuring all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed for Control & LV Electrical Switchgear Panels and Cabling Installations.
  • Project control electrical engineering designs and supporting technical and commissioning services.
  • Where necessary, evaluating, organising and prioritising work being carried out to support business development activities.
  • Improve panel production processes, improve efficiencies and monitor production standards.
  • Plan, schedule, and review workload and manpower to make sure targets are being met on a timely & cost-effective basis across facilities.
  • Lead expansion & manage growth of panel production facilities and adoption of new technologies.
