Job Title: EHCP and FE Support Coordinator (SENCO)Location: BirminghamSalary: £37,099 - £39,347 per annumJob type: Fixed-Term (Up to 12 Months), Full-timeUniversity College Birmingham works in partnership with the University of Warwick - Ranked eighth in the 2023 Guardian League Tables and 10th in the UK in the QS World University rankings 2023.The Role:UCBs highly experienced Disability Support team requires cover for its SENCO role. The successful candidate will be joining UCB during an exciting period of growth, including the development of world-class facilities, and our partnership with Universityof Warwick.The SENCO coordinates support for Further Education (FE) students who have disclosed a disability or SpLD. This will require managing our Academic Support Worker team on a day-to-day basis, maintaining quality of support provision, and working closely withour wider curriculum teams and external agencies.Candidate Requirements:The successful candidate will have proven managerial experience in this area, in addition to experience of working with Education Health and Care Plans (supporting students with EHCPs from transition in to transition out) and being empathetic towards studentswith disabilities/SpLDs.Further, the successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, a thorough understanding of the OFSTED EIF, and an in-depth knowledge of associated disability legislation, funding, and regulatory bodies.Subject to pre-employment checks, this role has a start date of March 2023.Benefits:
