Job Description

H9 Technical are currently looking to recruit an EC&I Engineer on behalf of an innovative, technology company operating in the UK carbon-reduction/ green energy industry.This is a permanent staff role, based at the company’s head office in Birmingham, West Midlands, with a competitive rate of pay on offer.Daily Duties:

  • To ensure that the applicable legislation and standards are applied across all aspects of C&I delivery to the Project
  • To provide technical input during design phase, with an emphasis on constructability of the design
  • Perform paper-based concept designs, strategic optioneering and ad-hoc research to produce procurement specifications.
  • Development of engineered solutions from a design brief and/or plant survey.
  • Liaising with safety assessors, facilities personnel, project stakeholders and other scientific/engineering disciplines.
  • Calculations to support / underpin the design and authoring technical reports and design documents.
  • Provision of installation, testing and commissioning documentation.
  • Candidate Experience & Qualifications:
  • Solid experience of Electrical Control and instrumentation engineering, specifically in projects.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Modifications, testing and technical review of documentation within the energy sector in particular.
  • Hazardous Area experience is essential.
  • Experience of instrumentation specification and design integration
  • Extensive knowledge of control and instrument design standards
  • Delivery focused and able to achieve business critical timescales and work under pressure
  • Ideally you will have experience of working in the downstream gas industry
  • Previous site works experience is desirable
