Job Description

Director of Finance and ResourcesBirmingham£95,000 to £105,000 per annum plus car allowanceFull Time, PermanentOur client has an exciting opportunity for a talented and strategic Director of Finance to join their Executive Management Team and lead the development and delivery of high performing finance and ICT functions to Board, internal customers and external stakeholders.Contributing effectively to corporate decision making you will ensure that Concept sets and achieves high performance standards across all aspects of the Finance and Resources Team and has in place effective plans, policies and systems for all of its businessoperations. You will be the lead officer for the Audit & Risk Committee earning the respect of members by your professionalism, foresight and diligence.You will handle a varied workload, ranging from Finance and Resources Services management, Financial Strategy, Change and Risk Management, Operations Support for the Board and Committees, Leadership, Corporate Strategy as part of the Executive Team and Regulation.They are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

  • Professional accountancy qualification (CCAB) and full membership of a recognised UK accountancy body
  • Proven ability to successfully lead multi-disciplinary teams at a senior level
  • Significant evidence of a collaborative and inclusive leadership style with a strong emphasis on employee engagement
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering high quality resource services
  • Significant experience of successful financial leadership, managing an organisation’s financial resources and ensuring effective financial management throughout the organisation.
  • The ability to demonstrate the building of effective risk management frameworks and the management of risk
  • An understanding of company legal and financial requirements and compliance
  • Experience of implementing corporate systems, policies and procedures and ensuring organisation wide compliance.
  • A problem solver who is diligent and with an eye for detail, who encourages creativity, innovation and continuous improvement
  • A supportive leader who is able to inspire, motivate, coach and develop others
  • Has the use of a vehicle for business purposes and holds a valid UK driving licence
