Job Description

Do you have demonstrable knowledge of Diamonds and Gemstones Diamond Estimator (Part Time)Part time : 20 hours over five days Monday to Friday(Jewellery Repairs Workshop) – Birmingham Service CentreHere at Signet Jewelers we have a unique opportunity available to work in our Birmingham Repairs Service Centre for a Diamond Estimator. The role will be based in our Diamond and Estimating room.Suitable candidates will havesignificant Diamond and Gemstone Knowledge (loose stones).The Birmingham Service Centre is at the heart of Signet’s strategic aim to own as much of its repair business as possible. Being scalable enough to respond to surge and growth requirements as well as agile enough to respond to individual customer and store needs, it continues to contribute directly to Signet’s sales and service requirements by managing workflow from internal as well as external repair channels.As Diamond Estimator youll delivera customer centric service in a workshop environment. The role will include involvement and interaction with internal functions such as well as product brands, material suppliers and external repair partners.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCESuitable applicants will be experienced in the following:

  • DGA qualified / De Beers qualified(role specific requirement – Stone sourcing)
  • Demonstrable understanding of a jewellery & watch repair function
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Basic MS Office capabilities in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of department workflows and system such as Telephony systems, CRM (RMS) platforms and third-party portals
