Job Description

Our client is a global e-commerce company who are looking for an Azure Platform Engineer. This is a hyrbid role, you can be based in the London office and commute to Birmingham once a month whilst also visiting the London office once a week, or you can alsobe based in the Birmingham office as long as you are happy to go into the city centre office once a week.This role is focused on Infrastructure, Networks and Security.Job Responsibilities:

  • Azure services
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Coaching and mentoring junior engineering teams on subjects such as DevOps or use of Azure services
  • Working hands on with teams when required to support software delivery
  • Prototyping of new technologies and tools to improve how the company delivers software
  • Analyse CI/CD tooling and Azure resources and propose ways to further improve e.g. security or costs
  • Ensuring CI/CD governance and best practice is adhered to
  • Contribute to the engineering and DevOps communities to drive forward better ways of working and efficient use of existing services
  • Operating shared infrastructure that supports the companys systems
Requirements: - Knowledge of Azure services, networking and security- Windows & Linux based skill set- Containerization knowledge - Strong experience of CI/CD tools e.g. Azure Pipelines, Octopus Deploy, TeamCity- Configuration systems e.g. DSC, Ansible- Scripting skills e.g. PowerShell- Source control systems e.g. GitCarbon60, Lorien, SRG - the Impellam Group STEM Portfolio is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
