Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Development Co-ordinator to work in our Design & Shopfitting division, who is passionate about their role in offering excellent service and standards to our customers. We are looking for someone who ismotivated, personable, and able to work on own initiative and also as part of our larger team.The role:To support multiple development projects with the business, by managing small refits and equipment roll outs. To communicate to all stakeholders ensuring projects are delivered on time and to budget. Provide support to the BDS development team to ensure allorders are communicated to suppliers and contractors as required.Key Accountabilities:

  • To ensure project lead times are achieved based on an agreed projects programme.
  • To carry out site surveys to include photographs and completion of onsite survey documentation.
  • Produce quotations for project works and submit for approval.
  • Production of project plans detailing a programme of works with clearly defined milestone dates.
  • Ensuring that all projects are carried out to agreed specifications in accordance with SPAR brand manuals and industry best practice, within budget/time constraints and in accordance with national regulations.
  • Ensuring conformance with supplier terms and conditions.
  • Adherence to competitive tendering and partnering processes.
  • Formulation and ongoing management of effective control processes to ensure that asbestos, CDM regulations, DDA requirements and fire risk assessment requirements are managed effectively.
  • Effective snagging of all Shopfitting and construction works.
  • Adhere to all Blakemore polices and core processes.
Key Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required:
  • 5 x GCSE (A-C)
  • A valid drivers licence.
  • Detailed knowledge of retail store design, SPAR formats and understanding of refit programming.
  • A detailed understanding of available equipment and finishes and how projects are implemented.
  • Knowledge of different computer software & CAD packages.
  • Ability to produce accurate and detailed site surveys.
  • A knowledge of statutory and legal requirements including Building Regulations and Health & Safety responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.
