Designer - Cable Enclosures and DuctworkJob Title: Designer - Cable Enclosures and DuctworkIndustry Sector: Designer, Design Engineer, Revit Designer, AutoCAD, Revit, Ducts, Duct Plans, Duct Design, Ductwork, HVAC, Ventilation Systems, Ventilation, Mechanical & Electrical, Cable Control, Cable Trunking, Fire Alarms, Power Cables, Fire & Security,Main Contractors, M&E Consultants, M&E Contractors, Electrical ContractorsLocation: Remote, ideally based Birmingham or LondonRemuneration: £35,000 - £45,000 + discretionary bonusBenefits: Full Comprehensive Benefits PackageThe role of the Designer - Cable Enclosures and Ductwork will involve:

  • Designer position for the design and installation of fire proof cable enclosure systems
  • Liaise regularly with main contractors, M&E consultants, electrical consultants and M&E contractors to gain a full understanding of projects
  • Prepare 2D and 3D design drawings on Revit
  • Ensure that all designs meet the client requirements
  • Prepare manufacturing drawings so that production can begin
  • Work closely with internal departments providing support and resolving queries
  • Ensure designs meet quality standards, building regulations, and H&S requirements
  • Attend design meetings as and client meetings when required
  • Producing designs for projects ranging in value from £100k to £1.5m
The ideal applicant will be a Designer - Cable Enclosures and Ductwork with:
  • Must have design experience in the ductwork or cable enclosures market sector
  • Ideally will have a sound knowledge of various HVAC / M&E / fire protection systems such as: ductwork, ducts, ventilation systems, fire alarms, power cables, control cables, smoke & heat extract systems
  • Ideally will be experienced in Revit & Ensign
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • High levels of attention to detail and methodical organisational skills
