Job Title: Design EngineerLocation: BirminghamSalary: £35,000Hours : 09:00-1700 Monday to FridayJob Type : PermanentThis organisation are going from strength to strength and are continuing to thrive, as a result they are looking to expand their design team by appointing an experienced Industrial HVAC Design Engineer. As an experienced Design Engineer, you will have the following skills:· Strong industrial HVAC knowledge.· Knowledge of fans/AC/ mechanical plant.· AutoCAD 2D level 2 or above.· Advanced in using relevant industry software (HEVACOMP, IES ad for Electrical roles AMTECH)· Previous experience within utilities or construction industry.· LEV System Design competency of P601 &P602Responsibilities:· Design and estimate projects.· Rreview all necessary design calculations, heat losses, heat gains, airflow calculations, pipe and duct sizing, pressure drops, ac design, cable sizing, gas design, drainage, and public health design, Ventilation design, electrical design.· Understand and define the project scope specifically in a Mechanical / Electrical / M&E capacity.· Prepare equipment schedules for estimating/ final design and check those generated by others.· Prepare cost estimates and check those generated by others.· Liaise with Sales Managers and assist with initial conceptual design.· Complete and check design work within the department.· Prepare Technical Submissions and check those generated by others.Minimum experience, training or qualifications required: Candidates must have experience within a similar roleDue to the high number of applications we receive, we are sometimes not able to respond directly to each candidate.
