Housing Delivery Manager – Hybrid – Eastern Region – 6 month contract– £475-£550 Per day - UmbrellaReed Talent Professionals have a fantastic opening for a Housing Delivery Manager to join a well-known Housing group.This role would suit a candidate who is based around the Cambridgeshire/Bedfordshire area and offers hybrid working, 2-4 days out on site. 1-2 admin days, working from home.The Delivery Manager will be an integral part of the Development Delivery Team to ensure the team plays its role in delivering 50,000 new homes in 10 years in accordance with the business plan.Deliver multiple projects within current development programmes already in delivery or in the pipeline.Key responsibilities:• The Delivery Manager will be an integral part of the Development Delivery Team, contributing to the success of the delivery team meeting its objectives• Working closely and collaboratively with colleagues in the Development Department, in the Directorate, the wider Commercial Company, and the Housing Association.• Delivery - Managing projects on sites under construction ensuring properties are built to specification.• Ensure that projects are effectively managed in accordance with business objectives and scheme approval and accurately reflect costs, income, funding, programme and quality requirements to optimise the benefit to the Group and contribute to its core business.• Using appraisal software to appraise and monitoring the financial performance of projects.• Building and maintaining relationships with Local Authorities, Developer Partners and other key stakeholders.• Representing the organisation at meetings and networking events to promote and raise the Group’s profile as a developer of new homes.• Prepare Project Briefs, in liaison with the Commercial & Technical Team to brief and appoint architects and other external consultants required to successfully deliver the project.• Manage the relationships with Solicitors, Consultants and Contractors/Developers appointed throughout the development process.• Manage projects to ensure that the quality of building construction meets the requirements.• Proactively manage projects to meet internal and external delivery targets and monitor and manage project delivery risks to ensure that agreed outcomes are maintained.• Able to attend occasional evening or weekend events or meetings such as consultation events where required.Experience and pre-qualification criteria• Minimum HNC equivalent (preferably a degree) in a development delivery role or construction related field.• Proven experience within a housing development or other property based commercial organisation.• Experience of delivering projects across a range of tenures including low-cost home ownership, rented, market sale housing, and commercial tenures.
